Why Tara does this work: I have been a helper my whole life. From an early age I faced a number of challenges that allowed me to develop great compassion and care for others. I ultimately became interested in learning to support others in order for them to lead happier and healthier lives. Professionally, I have been drawn towards populations that are traditionally underserved and in need of great assistance. I’m interested in posttraumatic growth and seeing people work through difficulties and come out the other end stronger and having more compassion for themselves. I utilize a humanistic approach having unconditional positive regard in a non judgemental environment.

What Tara feels is the best part of her job: The best part of my job is having the privilege to be welcomed into people’s most intimate thoughts and feelings in order to work through trauma. While this work can be challenging it is extremely rewarding to see people heal from past wounds and discover a deeper sense of self.

How Tara spends her free time: DIY projects, hiking/camping with my partner and dogs, trying new recipes and traveling.

Tara’s favorite quote: “Old ways won’t open new doors.” [Unknown]
